Important Notice

Please read these disclosures carefully. They contain important information about your rights, our services, and legal requirements under federal and state law.

Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) Notice

You have the right to:

  • Sue a credit repair organization if it violates your contract with it
  • Cancel your contract with a credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it
  • Review a written contract before signing it that explains your rights and obligations

You are not required to pay any fees until we have completed the services we have agreed to perform. We cannot and will not do anything that you could not do yourself. Improving your credit takes time and there are no guarantees.

Note: It may be a crime to give false information or a false credit repair organization. It is also a crime to conceal a bankruptcy.

Your Right to Cancel

You may cancel your contract with Credit Monkey, without any penalty or obligation, at any time before midnight of the 3rd business day after the date on which you signed the contract.

To cancel this contract, mail or deliver a signed and dated copy of this cancellation notice, or any other written notice, to Credit Monkey at:

What We Can and Cannot Do

What We Can Do:

  • Review your credit reports for inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information
  • Prepare and submit dispute letters on your behalf to credit bureaus
  • Follow up on disputes and track results
  • Provide guidance on improving your credit through positive financial habits
  • Educate you about the credit reporting system and your rights
  • Negotiate with creditors regarding payment arrangements

What We Cannot Do:

  • Remove accurate negative information from your credit report
  • Create a new credit identity for you
  • Guarantee specific results or score improvements
  • Advise you to make false statements to credit bureaus
  • Charge you before services are performed
  • Make promises about removing bankruptcy, foreclosure, or other accurate negative items

No Guarantee of Results

While we work diligently on behalf of our clients, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or credit score improvements. Results vary based on individual circumstances including:

  • The accuracy and completeness of information provided by you
  • The responses from credit bureaus and creditors
  • Your current credit profile and financial situation
  • Your ongoing financial behavior during the repair process
  • The age and nature of negative items on your credit reports

Credit repair is a process that takes time. Most clients see initial results within 60-90 days, but complete restoration may take 6-12 months or longer depending on the complexity of issues.

Fees and Refund Policy

Our fee structure is transparent and complies with all applicable laws:

  • Work First: We do not charge any fees until we have completed the services outlined in your service agreement
  • Monthly Billing: Most services are billed monthly after work has been performed
  • No Hidden Fees: All fees are clearly disclosed in your service agreement
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. We will refund any fees paid for services not yet performed

Please review your service agreement for specific pricing and refund terms applicable to your situation.

State-Specific Requirements

Certain states have additional requirements and protections for credit repair services. If you reside in one of the following states, additional terms may apply:

California Residents:

California consumers are entitled to the following specific rights: You may cancel your contract without penalty or obligation at any time before midnight of the fifth business day after the contract is signed by you.

Maryland Residents:

Maryland law requires that a consumer reporting agency, upon request and proper identification of any consumer, clearly and accurately make all disclosures to that consumer required under federal law.

New York Residents:

New York consumers have the right to obtain a security freeze on their credit reports. A security freeze prohibits a credit reporting agency from releasing your credit report without your express authorization.

Texas Residents:

In addition to the 3-day cancellation period, Texas law requires a specific bond be posted for credit services organizations operating in the state.

For additional state-specific disclosures applicable to your state, please refer to your service agreement or contact us directly.
